How we engage
Assessment first. Phased delivery. Knowledge transfer.
Every enterprise engagement opens with a 2, 4 week Full Technical Assessment, then phased delivery with milestone reviews and full knowledge transfer back to your team.

Proven at scale
PIXLISE, Mars Perseverance Rover
Built the cloud backend for NASA's PIXL science instrument on the Perseverance rover. Reduced data processing time from 30 hours to 10 minutes. Runner-up for NASA Software of the Year 2023.
Research Data Platform
Led a team of 14 specialists over 18 months to build a production-ready platform processing years of data from hundreds of thousands of channels. Transformed fragmented academic research into reproducible, large-scale science.
Compliance Platform Modernisation
Rebuilt compliance operations at a global financial-crime advisory from Excel-based workflows to a modern services platform with case management. Three months, inception to deployment, now running across 20+ financial institutions.

What we don't do
Big-bang rewrites.
They fail in regulated environments, and they fail in unregulated ones. We deliver in phases that ship working software you can review and approve.
Replace your engineering team.
Your engineers know your business better than we ever will. We work alongside them, train them up, and hand the system back when we're done.
Slide-deck-only deliverables.
Strategy decks are a by-product. The deliverable is production code, deployed, documented, and handed over to your team.
Questions buying committees ask
Quick, honest answers to what usually comes up before procurement gets involved.
What's your engagement floor?
$25K to $50K. Most enterprise engagements begin with a 2, 4 week full technical assessment scoped from there.
How do you handle regulatory and compliance environments?
We work with you and our external partners to ensure compliance and certification, whether that's SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or sector-specific regimes.
What happens to our existing engineering team?
We work with the team, training them up, making sure they know the process, or engaging directly to help deliver the solution depending on their skillset and capacity. We're not here to replace your engineers.
Do you sign NDAs and MSAs?
Of course. Standard part of every enterprise engagement.
What if we have a hard deadline?
Hell, we love hard deadlines, let's chat. The full technical assessment will tell you honestly whether your timeline is achievable, and what the trade-offs are if it's tight.
Do you do staff augmentation, project work, or managed services?
Yes, let's chat. Engagement shape depends on what you actually need; we'll figure that out together in the assessment.
"Most modernisations fail not because the engineering is hard but because the engagement is wrong. We came up shipping software to NASA where 'we'll get to that next quarter' wasn't an answer, and 'big-bang rewrite' wasn't either. The discipline that built our space-program careers is the same one we bring to enterprise modernisation: assessment first, ship in increments, hand it over so your team owns it. If we can't help, the assessment will tell us both."

Modernisation works best when both sides know what's actually involved. A 2, 4 week full technical assessment gives you a concrete plan, whether or not we're the right team to deliver it.

Questions buyers ask first
The honest answers to what you're about to ask.
- What are the 7 steps of a cloud migration model?
- Assess the estate, plan the phases, prove the approach with a pilot, prepare the landing zone, migrate data and workloads, validate and optimise, then decommission what you left behind. Most migrations that stall do so between steps five and seven, and rarely for technical reasons: the workloads move, but the operating model, the cost controls, and the decommissioning discipline never arrive. That is why our engagements price and plan steps six and seven from day one instead of treating them as cleanup.
- What are the 5 R's in cloud migration?
- Rehost, refactor, revise, rebuild, and replace: the standard menu of what to do with each workload. Amazon later stretched it to seven by adding retain and retire, and retire is the R nobody budgets for even though it is usually the cheapest win in the whole estate. A real migration plan assigns one R to every workload with a reason attached; a lift-and-shift plan assigns rehost to everything and calls it strategy.
