Who we are

Concept to Cloud ("we", "us") is an engineering consultancy operating at concepttocloud.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

Information you give us directly. When you book a call, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, register for an event, use one of our free assessment tools, or share a tool result with a colleague, we collect what you provide: typically your name, work email address, company, job title, and anything you write in a message field.

Information from LinkedIn forms. If you register for one of our events or respond to one of our offers through a LinkedIn registration or lead form, LinkedIn passes us the fields shown on that form before you submit it, usually your name, work email, job title, company, and LinkedIn profile URL. LinkedIn's own processing of your data is covered by the LinkedIn Privacy Policy; this policy covers what we do with the data once we receive it.

Information collected automatically. Our website uses Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type), and the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure how our LinkedIn advertising performs. These tools use cookies or similar identifiers. We do not use this data to identify you personally.

LinkedIn data, specifically

When you submit a LinkedIn event registration or lead form, we use the data you provide to:

• administer the event you registered for, including sending joining details, reminders, and follow-up materials;
• respond to whatever you asked for on the form;
• with your consent or where we have a legitimate interest, send you relevant follow-up communication about our services or future events. Every such email includes a working unsubscribe.

We do not sell this data, and we do not add you to unrelated marketing lists.

The LinkedIn Insight Tag on our website allows LinkedIn to show us aggregate reporting about ad performance and website visits. You can control this through your LinkedIn settings: see LinkedIn's advertising preferences.

How we use personal data, and why we're allowed to

• To deliver what you asked for (a booked call, an event place, a newsletter, a tool result): performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request.
• To follow up on genuine business interest from people in roles relevant to our services: our legitimate interest in running a business-to-business consultancy. You can object at any time.
• To send marketing you have opted into: your consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
• To understand and improve our website and advertising: our legitimate interest in measuring what works, using aggregate analytics.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the business. They process data on our behalf under their own contractual and privacy commitments:

• LinkedIn (forms, events, advertising measurement)
• Google (analytics, email and productivity tools)
• Ahrefs (privacy-focused website analytics)
• beehiiv (our newsletter platform)
• Cal.com (call scheduling)
• Email and outreach tooling used to send and manage business correspondence

We do not sell personal data to anyone. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

International transfers

We work with clients and providers in the UK, EU, and US, so data may be processed outside the country where you live. Where data leaves the UK or EU, we rely on our providers' recognized transfer safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Event and enquiry data is kept for as long as we have an active relationship or a live reason to hold it, and reviewed periodically. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per the default retention settings of the tools above. When data is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU GDPR), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we will respond within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to your local supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies

The analytics and advertising tools described above set cookies or use similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them. The LinkedIn Insight Tag can additionally be controlled from your LinkedIn advertising preferences, linked above.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes affecting how we use event or form data will be communicated to affected registrants directly.
